Today's task, manufacture a pair of brackets from T6 aluminium to attach Wilwood brake calipers to Triumph Vitesse spindles.
Little bit of programming and 4 spacers later.....it fits.

Another shiny aluminium part that I thought was worth a share.
This one is an adaptor that bridges the gap between the steering wheel and the quick release at the top of the steering column to bring the wheel closer to the driver, once removed this will also give the driver more room to get in and out of the race car in an already cramped interior.
Made from 2 3/4" dia 6082T6.

It's been a while since I posted but thought this was worth sharing as it was an interesting project.
I was commissioned to manufacture these prototype parts for a Small Block Chevy distributor that is being developed by the guys at Stromberg Speed Parts.
Housing is from 6082 T6.
Shaft is EN16.

An interesting project this week.
Design and manufacture the components to connect the steering wheel to the steering box on a recreation of a vintage mahogany speedboat.
The only brief given was it had to be made from 316 stainless steel, aesthetically pleasing, compact and sturdy.
Hopefully all boxes ticked.

With plenty of free time at the moment I decided to make a tool to accurately measure valve lift and duration, you can buy them from most speed shops but with a couple of hours on the lathe and some scraps of material you can easily make your own.
Fits snugly in the lifter bore with an o ring and works a treat when coupled with a degree wheel.

A rare early Pontiac Offenhauser tri power intake came in for refurbishment.
The carb mounting bosses resembled a Swiss cheese but none of the holes matched the three Stromberg 97's that were being used so three mounting plates were made from T6 aluminium and cap screwed into place to correctly mount the carbs.

Had a bit of free time today so made a blower belt guard for the shop gasser.

A bit of variety in the workshop this week, had an I beam axle in to have the pads machined down, followed by a distributor blanking plate in aluminium for a Rover V8 designed by the customer then finished off by pitching out 100 holes in a couple of Ford drum brake back plates.
