🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 O dear, O dear!! The carbs off our recently imported from America CB750, suggest that the bike lived in two States, Texan desert and Louisiana swamps as two were full of sand, the others some sort of wet glue like substance that maybe once was "gasoline", that's American for petrol for the uneducated. 😉😉 O and they are siezed solid, so its going to be fun trying to rescue them... I must have masochistic tendencies as am looking forward to the fight. 😁😁

Got the freshly rebuilt wheels back for the Yam FS1-M we are restoring today. They do look very pretty but by the time you have them built with new rims and spokes, new tyres, tubes, rim tapes, cleaned hubs, strip and rebuild the brakes, new shoes, new bearings etc, they cost more than the whole bike did when new in 87!. 🤷‍♂️. 😂😂😂

Shot in this morning for a couple of hours, just trying to reduce the queue a bit. Managed to get the red Kawasaki Z650 boxed up after it needed a correct, non vacume type, fuel tap. Re-routed some carb pipes while replacing the main supply with an ethanol proof one. Changed a headlight ear with one that wasn't damaged. Only little details but important all the same, especially as the rest of the bike is so nice. Now I know these mobile phone mic's make things sound weird,but still thought it worth a vid as it's new Delkevic pipe does sound sweet. 😁

Busy old end of the week. Our lovely GSXR750 has gone "Up North" with its new owner(s) (one of the nicest couples you could meet). Started another commission build,on yet another Z650 Kawasaki and spent the afternoon sorting out alot of maladies, on a set of...yep Z650 carbs . Have a great weekend folks. G

Ooooo, thats a bit sore! Is one way of describing this 1972 Honda CB750K.🙈 Today was day one of the start of its restoration. Think it might take a while!! 😂😂

Had to sort out an intermittent ignition problem (cutting out for no reason) on our rare "YPVS" equiped DT125LC. Tracked it down to a dry solder joint inside the kill switch. It was a nice day today, so gave it a quick ride then stopped and took some better pictures, especially as our Workshop Womble had given it a clean. Now fully UK registered so ready to go. Which by the way, it does very well. 😁
Original speedo is kmh so mileage equivalent is under 15k. £3495

While chatting to the owner of this lovely Z650, that was in for some minor fettling on its carbs. He'd had them rebuilt, not by us, and after fitting dropped it in for them to be balanced, as instructed.
Turns out it had been owned for decades by the man he bought it from, it had used as his pass-time and it had come with 2 A4 ring files full of its history, showing the thousands spent on it over the years.
Now at a ripe old age, the old boy had decided it was time for it to go and he had purchased it. He then said that he wasn't sure if he was going to keep it himself, ideally he had wanted something smaller? Hello....
Well, suffice to say it would of been rude not to and 5 minutes later its ours.🤷‍♂️

You may remember the Kawasaki W3 I mentioned a while back,and its carbs I pictured a couple of days ago. Today we got it back together and up and running. Have to say it's funny hearing a Japanese motorcycle sounding like an old British bike! 🤣🤣

Referring to yesterday's post about how people's opinion of what is an iconic bike differ, this beauty finally arrived with me today and I think most people would agree, if ever there was an "iconic" bike..fullstop, the Kawasaki 750 H2 must rank up there at the top of their lust, sorry, "list"😉
Arriving in the UK in 1999, registered and sold to its first UK owner, he then sold it to the next owner, a year or so later, and he has had it ever since, so 25 years. It is superb and the pictures are of it as it arrived, not even laid a rag on it. 😮
