Another job complete ✅
Had a call from a friend saying his dad’s car wouldn’t start in the morning. After a Quick Look and speaking to the customer the car had no coolant and was below min of oil what led me to think there could have been an over heating issue. Upon checking the plugs, I found the tips were very burnt out on all 4 cylinders. At the time it was the cheapest option to replace the plugs ⚡️ Unfortunately this didn’t get the car going so I looked deeper and found there wasn’t enough fuel being sucked up to start and keep the car running. I checked all fuses and relay which turned out to all be fine. I pulled out the back seats and listened out to see if the fuel pump was engaging which it wasn’t. I let the customer know and advised a new fuel pump which he was happy to do. I supplied a new fuel pump and fitted and advised the customer top his coolant and oil up I offered my services but he was happy to do it himself.

A job I did yesterday evening. 💪🏻 I was actually working on another customers car when a member of the public recognised I was a mobile mechanic 👨‍🔧
He  enquired about getting his front discs and pad replaced and they was making a grinding noise. ⚙️ he supplied the parts, an hour after the customers enquiry he had his front discs and pads replaced for less then a meal out for 2 !!!!🤯

Job I did yesterday 🛠️
Got a call from the customer saying he van would run for a few seconds the cut out. After my own inspection I had a few things in mind and got investigating straight away 👁️ I unbolted the EGR valve and like magic 🪄 the van was running exactly how it should. This would indicate the EGR valve was clogged and stuck open causing the engine to choke out on it Old exhaust gases. I ordered, collected and replaced the EGR valve same day and was in stock customer was very happy and back on the road 🛣️

Water pump replaced on a vauxhall combo this evening. Customer had to keep topping up his coolant and thought he had a leak 💧 cleaned up the surface area and installed the new water pump. After installation I made sure to give a good road test and made sure there was no further leaks 👍

Another job complete over the weekend 🛠️
Customer was getting oil patches on his drive ,so asked me to have a look 👀 I identified the oil leak to be coming out of the sump plug and was also oil running down the side of the sump ,where the silicon had deteriorated creating a small leak of oil 🩸.I advised the customer to replace sump ,as the old one starting to corrode along with fresh oil and oil filter 🔩

Got a call from the customer complaining he couldn’t get into gear ⚙️ . I went and had a look the same day and found his gear cable had worn the rubber insert out, conecting to the gear selector 🕹️ Customer opted for new gear cables and I went back the next day to fit them. Gear selection felt good and new and the customer was very happy. He had his car back the next day and was over the moon 🌙 as he relied on his car for day to day work as we all do.
