It’s exam results day in Scotland, and although results are important, we want to remind you that today does not define your future.

This week, we’ll be joining Developing the Young Workforce (DYW Scotland) for their campaign to show young people that there are many routes to success, and that you don’t always have to take the obvious or traditional path to get there.

We’ll be shining a light on our Group Sales Training Manager, Louise Joyce, our Group Sustainability Manager, Pablo Levi, and our Group Transport Manager, David Green, to learn about their unique career journeys and what led them to their roles at Arnold Clark.

From Customer Advisor to Service Manager in just seven years, Caitlin has climbed the ranks within our Nottingham Motorstore.

Starting at Arnold Clark in 2018 as a Customer Advisor within the Rental department, Caitlin moved into the Service Advisor role in 2020 before becoming a Senior Service Advisor in 2023. Earlier this year, she was then promoted to Service Manager.

With the support of her managers, ongoing training and mentorship from the franchise team, Caitlin is now working towards her IMI accreditation and is focused on leading her team to success, with the goal of becoming the top-performing Motorstore in the Group.

Well done, Caitlin! A great example of how commitment, drive and a positive mindset can help our employees and business grow together.

As a business, we’re proud to offer a wide variety of progression opportunities that lead to lifelong careers – and Michael’s story is a great example of this.

From starting as a 16-year-old Bodyshop Assistant to becoming the Area Bodyshop Manager of Central Scotland, Michael’s Arnold Clark career has been a long and fulfilling one. Progress started when he took an in-house training course and began shadowing assistant mangers, managers, and even covering other branches where needed at the age of 23.

He was then recognised for his hard work and progressed to Assistant Bodyshop Manager, before quickly becoming Bodyshop Manager of Bishopbriggs, and then Area Bodyshop Manager of Central Scotland.

Our employee Kiltwalkers really stepped up to the mark at the Aberdeen Kiltwalk. With their Arnold Clark match donations, 25 employees raised a total of £15,430.50 for 13 different charities. Well done everyone, your Kiltwalk kindness will make a huge difference to those who need it most!

Community and Family are two of our core values at Arnold Clark, and our Chesterfield Autoparts Warehouse Supervisor, Craig, exemplified these when he was driving home and came across a recent car accident.

As he is first aid trained, Craig stopped to offer assistance, before discovering that one of our Chesterfield Rental Customer Advisors, Paula, was one of the injured parties.

Craig stayed with Paula, assisted her in any way he could and ultimately drove her to the hospital so she didn’t need to wait for an ambulance.

Well done, Craig!
