Some cars never really go out of style. The Triumph TR6 is one of them.

This TR6 stopped by MossRimmer recently, with its owner calling in for a few parts and a look around the showroom.

Launched in 1968, the TR6 became the final evolution of Triumph’s traditional six-cylinder roadster formula. Underneath, it retained much of the proven TR chassis, but the styling was completely reworked by German design house Karmann, giving the car its sharper, more aggressive look that still defines it today.

Powered by Triumph’s 2.5 litre straight-six engine, the TR6 delivered exactly what enthusiasts wanted from a British sports car. Strong torque, a raw mechanical feel, and proper open-top driving character.

More than 90,000 were built, with many exported around the world, helping cement the TR6 as one of Triumph’s most successful sports cars ever made.

And seeing examples like this still being driven and enjoyed properly is exactly what it is all about.

Every restoration starts with knowing how the car was built.

Original Technical Publications give you direct access to factory-issued workshop manuals, parts catalogues, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and microfiche, all fully indexed and searchable.

Whether you are tracing an electrical fault on a Land Rover, identifying the correct MG component, rebuilding a Mini gearbox, or sourcing the right trim fitting for a Triumph, the information is all here exactly as the manufacturers intended.

Officially licensed by Jaguar Land Rover and the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, available as instant downloads or DVD collections.

Because guessing has never been part of a proper restoration.

Not every Rover SD1 stays close to home.

These two SD1s stopped by Moss Rimmer recently after travelling all the way from Norway for an SD1 50th Anniversary event. Their journey took them through Holland and across Europe, with more than 4000km covered by the time they return home.

That says everything you need to know about the SD1. Built as a grand tourer with unmistakable British character, these cars were made to cover distance comfortably while still turning heads wherever they arrived.

It was great to meet the owners too - long-standing customers with a collection that includes everything from these SD1s to Range Rover and Jaguar.

Cars like this remind you that British classics are appreciated well beyond the UK, and even better when they’re driven the way they were meant to be.

A great day out at Lincoln Castle yesterday for the Classic Car Show.

From Triumphs and MGs through to Morris Minors and Minis, there was no shortage of character on display, all set against one of the city’s best historic backdrops.

Always good to see so much local enthusiasm for keeping these cars on the road.

The Mini was never just clever. It was revolutionary.

Born from constraint and designed for a changing Britain, its front wheel drive layout, remarkable space efficiency, and fearless handling rewrote the rulebook. Small in size, immense in influence.

Collectors know this is more than a car. It is a design icon. A rally legend. A city car that outperformed machines twice its size and earned its place in automotive history.

Compact proportions. Cultural impact that spans generations. Still doing exactly what it was built to do.

Two MG TFs.

A 2003 in blue and a 2004 in black, stopped by recently with members of the local MG Owners Club.

The TF marked an important point in MG’s story. Launched as the evolution of the MGF, it introduced a stiffer chassis, revised suspension, and sharper handling, transforming the way the car drove while keeping the same lightweight, mid-engined character enthusiasts loved.

And that is exactly why cars like these still have such a loyal following today. Affordable, usable, and genuinely fun to drive.

Two well-kept examples, still being driven exactly as intended.
