Hello everyone,
I wanted to share something close to my heart. I’m an ADI here in Dartford, but I’m originally from Nepal, and my family and community are still there.
On 26 August, a glacial avalanche hit Nepal’s Rasuwa region, causing flash floods along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers. Villages, bridges and roads were swept away within minutes. Over 500 people have lost their lives, and hundreds, including around 33 British nationals, are still missing. Rescue teams are still searching.
Please keep the affected families in your thoughts and prayers, including the 33 British nationals currently unaccounted for. If you’re able to offer any support at all, whatever you can give would mean a lot. It goes directly to Nepal’s official Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, a government-run and independently audited channel, so it reaches those who need it most.
