do88performance oil cooler installed, oil service carried out with LIQUI MOLY fluid and BMW oil filter. Full underside check over and Recaro pole position seat adjusted.

Andy’s 2016 BMW X5 30D F15 in for repair after a previous diagnostic session.

Complete inlet manifold replacement due to faulty swirl flaps, transfer box service with calibration carried as well.

I was also tasked with investigating the panoramic roof not functioning correctly, initial suspicion was a jam on the roof or a faulty motor. Thankfully all that was required was a resynchronisation of the roof and its back to being fully operational 🤌

BMW X6 M50D in for diagnostic work. Air suspension stuck at full height and wont lower back down into spec.

Diagnosed as faulty components on the air supply unit (compressor), unfortunately these parts are unavailable separately from BMW, so a complete unit replacement was necessary for a guaranteed and warranted repair.

BMW F21 M140i in for some engine work!

Customer had an intermittent Vanos fault on the inlet side, and only when cold. Initial testing showed nothing at fault and passed all vanos system tests. After a road test, the vanos system was tested again and the procedure was aborted by the diagnostic due to a current fault.

A bit more digging was required! So a strip down of the rocker cover was needed, timing locked with special tools and the timing was bang on. Inlet vanos central valve removed and was greeted by debris on the filter mesh, a few more checks and I found debris stuck inside the oil galley for the central valve. Hard to tell what the debris was, but suspect part of an old oil filter that had disintegrated (common issue when you stick to the 2 year recommended service schedule).

Parts replaced:
2 Genuine central valves
Genuine updated timing slide rail
Genuine tensioner
Rocker cover gaskets
Injector bolts
Oil and filter change.

Faults cleared, road tested and running perfect!

Building still has a lot of work required to get it up to scratch, but I can now stand upright under a car again after nearly 2 years since the fire.

2012 Mini One with only 37k on the clock in for some diagnosing work.

Customer complained of an oil pressure solenoid fault on a diagnostic scan but no warning lights on the dash. Upon inspection I found a slightly warped oil filter and a faulty oil pump solenoid valve.

New OE oil pump with solenoid fitted, oil and filter changed with Genuine BMW oil and Mann OE oil filter and the problem was resolved.
