Here is more info for this mornings highway code post. Did you know this?

'The speed limit is the absolute maximum and does not mean it is safe to drive at that speed irrespective of conditions. Driving at speeds too fast for the road and traffic conditions is dangerous. You should always reduce your speed when

• The road layout or condition presents hazards, such as bends

• Sharing the road with pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders, particularly children, and motorcyclists

• Weather conditions make it safer to do so

• Driving at night as it is more difficult to see other road users.'

Comments from Amy Eagle, a previous learner with Dave Pickford Automatic Driver Training.

I struggle with self confidence and had given up all hope of driving due to a negative instructor, I then had a taster lesson with Dave Pickford and had to give it another go. Dave gave me the Confidence to try again. He was patient, compassionate and didn´t make me feel stupid when I made mistakes, I went from hating driving lessons to looking forward to it every week and I PASSED 1st time..... I wouldn´t recommend anyone but Dave Pickford. Honest, Reliable and would rather see his students PASS than see his pockets lined.

Message, call 07951470091 or visit the site learntodriveautomatic.com and see how we can get you on the road to your licence.

Todays highway code ..

Driving at the speed limit is not always advisable and driving slower in many situations can be better.

This mornings theory question was
What does this sign mean?

The answer is 'B'. Were you right?

The explanation...

Urban clearways are provided to keep traffic flowing at busy times. You may stop only briefly to set down or pick up passengers. Times of operation will vary from place to place, so always check the signs.
