⭐️ Spotlight on - 2012 Reds! ⭐️

Our 2012 Reds were in action this weekend against Monifieth Athletic Reds at Charlotte Street as they continued their preparations for the transition to 11-a-side football.

The boys put on a fantastic display from the off with their ability to move the ball around the field at speed a real talking point with those on the sidelines. The players showed a real togetherness throughout the game as they covered and worked for one another to the final whistle which has always been something the coaches have prided themselves on.

A special note of well done to Matthew Pope who excelled throughout the game, taking home the Player of the match.

The future is bright for these young lads and we are excited to watch their transition into the 11-a-side game!

On the 8th day of Christmas Vauxhall gave to me……a 70 plate corsa in need of some TLC⚙️

This vehicle is literally a month out of warranty and our local dealer can’t look at the vehicle until after Christmas!…………..But never fear Griffin Garage is here 👨‍🔧

Customer complaint ABS/ESP, traction control , collision avoidance and TPMS warnings in instrument cluster…confirmed complaint.✅

Connected diagnostic equipment and carried out a full vehicle fault scan…..numerous DTCs present relating to systems listed above but one stuck out like a sore thumb to me……(C003A-01 Right rear wheel speed sensor electrical fault PRESENT) 🤓

Checked wheel speed live data on scan tool to find “out of range” instead of “0”👍

Carried out wiring checks and found high resistance in the circuit…. Removed the wiring harness from the rear axle and removed the protective conduit **see pictures** Found the wiring damaged and starting to corrode.

Approximately 6inches of damaged wire was cut out and a new section was spliced in using genuine heat shrink for a good repair ✅

The root cause of this issue was more than likely due to the wiring being damaged or pulled too tight during the manufacturing process! And unfortunately it took 3 years for the fault to occur!

Another customer with their car back for the weekend happy days👍.
