Round 5 of our Club Championship was all set for Tinkerhill this Saturday—but sometimes the elements (and a few unexpected twists!) have other ideas.
Despite our schedule of dates being long agreed, we were made aware that South Down Motor Cycle Club had launched a race on the same date, but that wasn’t going to stop us. What did force a change was the late call from Gordy Gilchrist at Tinkerhill who told us the track wouldn’t be ready in time.
Not ideal, and not what we had planned—but if there’s one thing about this Club… we don’t stand still.
Disappointing? Of course. But beaten? NEVER!

🔥 NEW VENUE: Magilligan MXPark – BRAND NEW MOTOCROSS TRACK (Barley Field) 🔥
A massive thank you to Philip McCullough, who has gone above and beyond this week to build us a completely brand new motocross track at the barley field at short notice. This track has never been raced on before… until now 👀
MCCNI riders—you will be the FIRST to hit it, and what a treat we have in store 🔥
This is also a brilliant example of how clubs can work together for the greater good of Irish motocross as a whole ☘️. This isn’t about bringing each other down—we want to push Irish motocross forward, regardless of Club, put it firmly on the map, and showcase all our riders at their very best 🏆
We’ll be posting photos as soon as prep is complete!
Even better, the lane in has been fully graded, so your journey up will be smoother than ever 🥳
