Current update from DVSA.
Hi, I wonder if you could help me?
I am an ADI and i know practical driving tests are currently suspended due to covid 19, i have also suspended any driving lessons for the same reasons, however i have a couple of students who have test dates in mid June, most of my others have been moved back to July, the students who have their tests in June haven't had any lessons since march and if their tests are to go ahead in June, i obviously need to give them lessons before hand to bring them back up to the required standard.
Would it be possible to let me know if you think these tests will go ahead in June or do you think they will be moved back to July, i do not want to take any unnecessary risks for them or myself giving driving lessons if the tests are going to be moved back to July?
Also for future reference for my other students, if you know a approx date when tests will start again, can you let me know so we can plan and start lessons again a few weeks before!
Thanking you in anticipation
Regards

Thank you for your email dated 18 May.
Currently driving instructors should only be teaching critical workers who have applied for an emergency driving test.
A decision has yet to be made as to whether tests will be suspended for longer than the 3 months already in place. We hope to resume testing from the 22 June but this is all dependant on Government advice closer to this time.
Any updates regarding this will be available on GOV.UK
