V6 cylinder heads rebuild under way!

Poorly V6 in with cambelt failure. Every single valve bent. Block has survived so new valves and stem seals to go in, head gaskets and cambelt kit and it shall live again!

MY2005 MG TF 135 in starlight silver. Built on 10th February 2005, just
64 days before MG Rover Collapsed (one of the last 360 right hand drive MG TF’s MGR made.)

It comes with soft ride suspension kit as standard, glass rear screen, new mini type fuse box, increased programmable options in the Pektron SCU, dual high-low horn, a full-size spare wheel, v-type alloy wheels.

This car has the most comprehensive service history of any MG TF I have seen or owned, from its purchase to now.

Now has clean MOT and most of the MOT failures were not actually anywhere near as bad as the examiner had recorded, ( I don’t think he knows these cars well). However All the recorded MOT failures have been comprehensively fixed and a clean MOT was issued in June 2023.

All suspension, welding and subframe mount repair was carried out by RG Motors in Truro and all other smaller works were carried out by me.

*Replaced Drivers Wing with original part.
*Replaced both wing mirrors
*Replaced cloth interior with full leather
*Replaced broken binnacle with Jakabi design carbon fibre replacement
*Replaced central tunnel cover as it was marked, and installed chrome ash tray/coin box
*fitted Mike Satur hand break handle and button
*replaced drivers Handle
* fitted replacement lock set as original set required two keys, and petrol cap had been changed.
*Programmed additional key Fob as there was only one.
*Installed and programmed passenger airbag
*fitted original MG Matts
*Replaced broken front speakers
*Refitted door cards with leather inserts and gloss black caps.
*Replaced handbrake leather as the original had perished.
*Under Bonnet rust treatment and prevention (they all tend to rust at the ABS plate, Battery and Brake Servo).
* Full service carried out
* Full T4 diagnostic session - no faults.

**Head gasket and belts carried out by previous owner and documented in service history

The body is in generally good condition for it’s age (18 years) with no dings or dents, however there are a few stone chips and areas which If I was keeping the car I would want to address personally.

The car has driven 102000 miles, but the service history stands up and it wasn’t a sea side car until recently in its life so the underbody is solid.
