Job Overview
NG Tunnelling, a small and established drainage company based in Mitcham, is seeking a reliable, hardworking delivery driver for temporary summer cover. You will be responsible for moving essential drainage materials and equipment between our yard, builders' merchants, hire shops, and active project sites across London.
Key Responsibilities
Site Deliveries: Transporting materials and equipment safely to various sites in and around London.
Merchant Collections: Picking up materials directly from local builders' merchants.
Hire Management: Collecting and returning specialised hire equipment on time.
Vehicle Care: Safely driving a 7.5-tonne Transit vehicle.
Hours & Shift Patterns
Standard Hours: Roughly 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM (flexibility required as hours may vary slightly).
Weekend Work: Possible Saturdays from 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM (paid at the full daily rate of £240).
Requirements
Licence & Experience: Valid driving licence legally permitting you to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle, with a clean driving record.
Physical Fitness: A good level of physical fitness is required.
Local Knowledge: Confident driving around London and navigating busy site environments.
Attributes: Punctual, reliable, and capable of working independently.
