Called out to a job in Colchester after our new customer experienced a knocking noise whilst braking, shortly after having an engine fitted by another garage in Ipswich.

Upon inspection, we removed the wheel and immediately found that one of the brake caliper slider bolt heads was missing. After removing the carrier bolt, it became clear the previous garage had snapped the bolt, attempted to drill it out, failed, and unfortunately left the vehicle in that condition.

We carefully drilled out the damaged bolt ourselves, but as the thread condition was no longer satisfactory, we carried out a proper repair using a helicoil insert to ensure everything was safe and secure.

It may not be a Ford, but it’s another satisfied customer safely back on the road! 👌🔧

Down in Eastbourne carrying out a timing belt replacement on this stunning Ford Ranger 2.0.

Our customer had only recently purchased the vehicle and wanted complete peace of mind when it came to the timing belt system. Upon inspection, we found the belt had started to crack, however it had not delaminated — great news for the customer.

After discussing our findings, we recommended our Option 1 package, as there was no need to remove the sump or strainer when there were no signs of belt delamination or debris contamination. We believe in being honest and transparent with our customers, only carrying out the work that is genuinely required.

As always, the Ford PTS procedure was followed throughout the repair to ensure everything was completed to manufacturer standards. Whilst on site, we also added the climate control screen and DPF gauge display to the instrument cluster for added convenience.

Another Ranger back on the road and ready for many more miles! 👌

Over in Ipswich carrying out a timing belt replacement on this Ford Transit 2.0 with just 41k miles on the clock.

As shown, the timing belt had not delaminated, meaning there was no need to remove the sump, as the oil strainer would remain clear. We always believe in being honest and transparent with our customers — if the belt hasn’t delaminated, there’s simply no need for unnecessary additional work. Building long-term trust is far more important to us than upselling jobs that aren’t required.

For this Transit, we carried out our Option 1 timing belt package, along with a full service and DPF gauge programming.

Another Transit maintained and back on the road with confidence!

While working on our customer’s Ford Ranger, we also carried out repairs and servicing on their Ford Transit Mk7 2.2.

The front cover sealant had failed, so a replacement front cover was fitted. During our inspection, we also identified a coolant leak. Once the union was removed, we found that the previous “O-ring” repair had simply been sealed with silicone, which had eventually failed. A new genuine O-ring was fitted, the system was pressure tested, and everything is now operating exactly as it should.

To finish off, we also carried out a full service while the vehicle was with us. Another Transit back in top condition and ready for the road — we’ll see you again at the end of the year for its next service!

Over near Stansted carrying out a service on this stunning Ford Ranger Raptor 2.0. We previously carried out a timing belt replacement on this vehicle early last year, and it’s great to see everything still in excellent health.

While with us, we also added a DPF gauge, allowing the customer to monitor when the vehicle requires a regeneration — helping to maintain performance and prevent future issues.

Over in Sudbury carrying out a timing belt replacement on this clean Ford Ranger 2.0 with around 50,000 miles on the clock.

Although the belt had not yet started to delaminate, it was showing visible cracking — highlighting the importance of preventative maintenance before more serious issues occur.

For this vehicle, our Option 1 package was the correct route as there was no need to remove the sump due to the condition of the belt and strainer. While on site, we also completed an oil and filter service to keep the Ranger performing at its best.

Another successful visit up in King’s Lynn carrying out Stage 1 performance upgrades and software solutions on these two Ford vehicles. 🔧

The Ford Transit 2.0 received a Stage 1 remap along with an AdBlue solution, delivering a huge improvement in both power and drivability:

✅ 130HP ➜ 190HP
⬆️ 47% increase in power

✅ 385NM ➜ 480NM
⬆️ 24% increase in torque

The Ford Ranger 3.2 received a Stage 1 remap, giving it noticeably improved performance and pulling power:

✅ 197HP ➜ 230HP
⬆️ 16% increase in power

✅ 470NM ➜ 560NM
⬆️ 19% increase in torque
