Been a long winter ! But finally getting out on the winter restorations
This lovely 1976 one owner fizzy….
Owner wanted to keep the original paint/seat and a few other bits as they were in really good condition and had original shop decal on side panel 😎
20 miles clocked up, runs really nice although a little slow running in a 50 😳
Next week an Rd125dx to road test

Maiden voyage this morning! It’s a bit of a giggle 😁 just need to play with the gearing, revs out far too quick from r road use!!!

Finishing the last few bits on this little beauty, ready for collection.
1971/2 Suzuki TS50,. I managed to road test before the weather turned, using a spare tank and seat, as I was waiting for the paintwork, seat and chrome rack
The 70’s had some great 16ner specials!!!! Proper bikes…. Not scooters!!!

This week I have mostly been…… riding this beauty 1973 Honda mt250 Elsinore. My own bike, bought 5 yrs ago in a really bad state, but as I was after a bike made in the same year I was born (especially as it was made in October 73) I couldn’t resist! So a steady restoration later and back on the road for the first time in god knows how long! Ready for its own 50th birthday and mine…. I hope you like it 🤗 happy birthday Elsie

This week I’ve been mostly……. Well, to be honest, it was last week, and just a few extra miles after a bit of tinkering! A lovely little Suzuki 1972 TS185j. As most off road bikes have, it had had a hard life, rear guard was bent and rotten, wrong rear light (both found and re-chromed) front guard bend and scuffed (now repaired) plus lots of other worn out or incorrect parts….. just the headlight to find, but extremely rare! So we’ve gone with the later one it came with for now!
Runs and rides lovely!!!!

Dt175 overcharging, hopefully it’s the rectifier (diode has no resistance) I’ll let you know when I put the new one on! And fitted a pro-am fairing and belly pan to an RD350lc that’s had a full resto!
