Four Hours Each Way Because Nobody Else Would Take the Job On

This Mazda Bongo came to us after local garages and even local Bongo specialists turned the owner away.

So they drove four hours to get the van restored properly.

What started as a Bronze Restoration Package quickly uncovered hidden corrosion behind the side skirts that needed proper repairs before the transformation could begin.

Once repaired, the van was finished in a stunning bright red chosen by the owner, complete with colour coded bumpers, mirrors, spoiler and grille details that completely changed the look of the van.

The final result was an absolute game changer.

Fresh MOT. Dangerous Underneath.

This Mazda Bongo had passed an MOT just one week before arriving to us for a cambelt, service and free inspection after the customer had only owned it for two days.

What we found underneath was shocking.

Severe structural corrosion, dangerous repairs, holes near suspension mounts, leaking shock absorbers and around £4,000 worth of welding required to make the van safe.

The customer had just spent £6,000 on the vehicle.

Thankfully, we helped them secure a full refund and did not charge them a penny for our inspection or support.

A fresh MOT does not always mean a safe vehicle.

One of Our Most Popular Colour Combinations for a Reason

This Mazda Bongo came to us needing structural repairs, welding work and a full refresh to bring it back properly.

So we rebuilt the important parts first, repaired the corrosion, protected the underside with fresh underseal and then finished it in Riviera Blue, paired with the original white top half.

The result completely transformed the van.

Fresh paint, new genuine rear arches, restored chrome details and a much stronger future underneath it all.

Diagnosed as a Blown Head Gasket. The Reality Was Worse.

This Mazda Bongo arrived with extremely low compression across every cylinder after being diagnosed locally with a blown head gasket.

Once we stripped the engine down, we discovered the cylinder head had overheated badly, becoming both warped and cracked.

Thankfully, the bottom end survived.

We rebuilt the engine properly with a fully reconditioned cylinder head, new cambelt kit, water pump, seals, gaskets, filters and much more, giving this Bongo a proper second chance.

Sometimes the right diagnosis makes all the difference.

This Mazda Bongo meant too much to its owner to let corrosion and wear slowly take it away.

What started as sill corrosion quickly turned into major structural repairs, welding work, cooling system fixes and a full restoration underneath.

So we rebuilt it the right way.

New inner and outer sills, chassis repairs, full underseal treatment and our Bronze Restoration Package completely transformed the van while protecting it for the future.

Now it is back to being the Bongo its owner fell in love with in the first place.

After its final outing, our show van has officially left us.

This Mazda Bongo has been part of the team, part of the shows, and a real showcase of what we do. It is one of those vans that sticks with you.

But this is exactly what they are built for.

Now it is heading to new owners who get to start their own journey with it, and that is where the real story begins.

Fresh MOT. Completely Unsafe.

This Mazda Bongo passed an MOT, was “repaired”, and handed back to the customer ready for the road.

After a 200 mile trip to us, we found serious structural damage, failed repairs and corrosion hidden with filler.

It should never have passed.

The MOT station is now under investigation by the DVSA.

A fresh MOT does not mean your van is safe.
