Here I am Connor...writing about you passing your driving test. Talk about putting yourself through it 😂

But you passed and just the three drivers faults. A most excellent result 👏 Hope you have come back down to earth now?

Yippee!! After getting your last test cancelled, you re-prepared and set off at 6.15 this morning.

Well Charlotte, the day finally arrived and so did the nerves. I could see you were struggling and doubting yourself before you got into the Test Centre but in the end, you let your driving do the talking and you utterly smashed it.

Just two driving faults !

Well done Chloe!!!

I could see you were extremely nervous and so could the examiner, who worked excellently to settle you, but did that stop you passing? No!! Did it stop you getting zero faults? No!!!

Are we all aware of the changes?

Some further ones are currently under review and those could effect who is able to book a test but it will not affect you, the pupil.

🚨 Important changes to driving test booking rules are coming.

From 31 March 2026, learner drivers and approved driving instructors (ADIs) will only be able to make 2 changes to a driving test booking.

A change includes:
- changing the date or time
- changing the test centre
- swapping a test between 2 learners

This is part of the outcome of our consultation to improve the way driving tests are booked.

As we start 2026, I thought I'd pop up a little update about me...

I'm a Brackley resident and I've been teaching in Brackley for five years.

After starting out as a trainee PDI several years ago, now being a fully qualified ADI means I can offer far more content within my lessons - motorway driving; an excellent knowledge of Banbury and local areas, including test roads, as well as further afield. I possess an array of different skills Iearnt along the way to aid a pupil's learning. Not everyone is the same and not everyone learns the same. I incorporate a variety of ways to teach a variety of pupils, including those who may just have a mental block or an "I can't do it" about something, to a pupil who has severe anxiety.

Teaching with patience and humour is my style - I always aim to make lessons fun so perhaps this, along with my dulcet tones 😃 is why I put a great many pupils at ease.

BSM also use me for pupils receiving PIP contributions, so if this is you, please contact either me or BSM.

I am fortunate that after a career in the Electronic and Telecoms Service Industry, Project Management in Oil & Gas as well as Motor Sport, I appear to have found a job that I absolutely love doing. So much so that it doesn't feel like work! I hope everyone reading this also has or finds a job they ❤️ so they too never need to "work" again.

And as another passes, I have another space.

I do not operate with a waiting list so I just go online and open up my diary for new pupils.

One has just passed so I have room for another, meaning I am accepting new pupils but my vacancy will fill very fast.
Evenings and weekends available.
