Today's work involved completing the very last welding repair on the MkVI Bentley from a previous post (which has been a major job). This removable wheel arch trim has return/rolled edges so an added layer of difficulty when making my repair sections..

Here's a repair we did recently on local chaps grab. The hinge points had pulled off and been welded back on once or twice before so we made a more substantial mounting area and added some reinforcement..

We do lots of this type of work and most people don't know that we do it.
We can mig or tig most things either to make a repair or fabricate something new from a drawing. (Including Aluminium)

Here's some repairs on a BMW E30 Touring we carried out.

This is a good example of our metal working capabilities..
The left rear quarter panel was unavailable when we did the work so we had to make this panel up in house. We also made the inner arch sections.

All our "body work" is made using 16 gauge/1.2mm steel which provides an upgrade in thickness and corrosion resistance.

This week we had a visit from an old 7610 with a flail mower that needed a quick welding repair..Nice to see these older...

Here is a look at one of our longer term in and out jobs that is in need of some love. This old MKVI Bentley has been with its current owners for a very long time but has been off the road in recent years.

These photos show me tackling the right hand sill area. This side was really rusty and while we were able to get some panels unfortunately they were literally inches away from fitting in several crucial places. (Outer sill) This left me having to make huge adjustments to the panels and do away with certain bits and remake more accurate pieces.
This is one of the most difficult sills I have ever had to do as none of the lines are straight in any direction, not even the bottom lip.

The car has come back this week for some more repairs.

Rust cut out, outside and underside replaced and reinforced and a new upper shock mount and bump stop mount welded in place.

A job from a couple of weeks back.

This little Austin Seven had lots of play in the front kingpins. All stripped down, axle ends built up with weld and eyes re-sized accordingly.
We replaced various other bushes and gave things an oil and a grease while we were there..

All rounded off with a picturesque test drive.
