GM Performance LS3 Aluminium Cylinder Heads (Pair) 12629064 / 12675871 – 0821 Casting – Fully Built, With Supporting Parts

Offering for sale, due to upgrades documented here, a complete pair of 0821 LS3 GM Performance cylinder heads, fully built, with associated valve train parts & gaskets ready to bolt onto any LS engine. New gaskets also included. These much sought after 0821 cylinder heads will fit any LS motor and would be a great bolt-on upgrade or would be perfect for porting before installation to any 4.0” bore LS bottom end. The heads & all associated parts were removed from my GM Performance LS3 crate motor which has only covered 12,000 miles.

I’ve given the parts a minor clean down, but if they were put in a parts washer, I’m sure they’d come up as-new.

Combustion Chamber Volume: 68.4cc
Intake Port Shape: Rectangle
Intake Runner Volume: 260cc
Exhaust Port Shape: D-Port
Exhaust Runner Volume: 87cc
Intake Valve Diameter: 2.165 in
Exhaust Valve Diameter: 1.590 in

Fitted with:
BTR Platinum Dual Valve Springs (0.660” lift)
BTR locators & seals
GM Performance rockers

Also included:
NEW GM Performance head gaskets
NEW GM Performance exhaust manifold gaskets
GM 7.4” pushrods
GM Performance lifters & lifter trays
GM rocker covers
GM coil mounts

Asking price is £1,200 for the full kit of all parts listed & pictured. These cylinder heads cost over £1,000 each bare, therefore, with the BTR valve spring upgrade, new gaskets & associated parts, there is nearly £3,000 worth of parts here. Grab a bargain!

Final update on the winter engine work and the long awaited addition of a custom coil relocation kit from Auto Bionics.

The coils are now located on a custom bracket, bolted onto the side of the engine block, using the rearmost engine mount bolt holes. With the coils and leads now under the exhaust & its heat shield, this should cure the recent HT lead issues while also nicely cleaning up the engine bay and showing off the BTR rocker covers.

And that’s a wrap on the engine upgrades for the winter: GM Performance CNC ported cylinder heads, Cadillac Racing lifters, BTR 11/32 pushrods, BTR shaft rockers, BTR dual valve springs, BTR LS9 MLS head gaskets, APR head & manifold bolts, BTR gold rocker covers and now Auto Bionics coil relocation kit. A very nice collection of parts and a pretty serious upgrade, ready to enjoy and laying a foundation for some future upgrades 😉

Now it’s back onto the body vents and hopefully back on the road swiftly, it’s been a while!

It’s been a while! The winter has been spent with some big home improvement building work, so the car didn’t get a look in. Now house things are settling down, it’s back onto the car.

New CNC ported cylinder heads are fitted, together with Cadillac Racing lifters, BTR shaft rockers, BTR dual valve springs, LS9 head gaskets and all ARP bolts throughout.

The rocker covers are temporarily refitted while I wait for new thicker & longer pushrods and cam covers from BTR.

Also coming soon is a coil relocation kit, to mount them on the side of the engine block, cleaning things up a little.

The updates ought to be more frequent over the coming months!

Let the winter work begin! To join the CNC ported heads are: BTR dual valve springs, BTR’s shaft rocker system, GM Racing lifters (from the Cadillac endurance race cars), BTR lifter trays, LS9 head gaskets and APR head bolts.

In the carbon corner are RS spec wheel arch vents and brake duct vents. I’ve still not plucked up the courage to begin cutting the body to fit these 😬

A set of GM Performance CNC Ported LS3/LS9 heads are in the garage and awaiting some nice BTR accompaniments, ahead of installation in a few months. More goodies to come!
