Actual fact: Back To The Future was nearly named "Spaceman From Pluto" ☢️ The story below 👇

I had a lot of fun editing, i changed the name of the movie in the movie credits

Universal Pictures chief Sid Sheinberg hated the original title. He argued that no one would go see a movie with "future" in the title, and believed Spaceman from Pluto sounded much more imaginative.

Sheinberg sent a formal memo demanding the title change. He even requested that the scene where Marty introduces himself to George McFly be changed from "I'm Darth Vader from planet Vulcan" to "I'm a spaceman from Pluto", and that George’s sci-fi novel be renamed as well.

Steven Spielberg, was horrified by the suggestion. Instead of arguing, Spielberg played showbiz chicken. He sent a memo back to Sheinberg thanking him for sending such a hilarious "joke memo" and stating that the whole office got a massive kick out of it.

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick update to say if you wanting to get your merch order in and have guaranteed to be available for collection at Eurofest today is the deadline.

It was actually last night but we got it extended.

Any order placed after 12 midnight BST (7hrs from now) may not be ready for the show but you can still have it posted to you.

We will be collecting the items personally before Eurofest and only orders placed before midnight tonight (UK TIME) will be guaranteed to be ready.
