🔧 ANOTHER MERCEDES A-CLASS JOB COMPLETED AT WH AUTOS! ⭐

This Mercedes A-Class was passed over to us by another garage after they were unable to complete the diagnosis because they didn’t have the correct Mercedes-Benz diagnostic software and equipment.

The vehicle came to us and we carried out a full Mercedes diagnostic test, confirming straight away that the headlight assembly itself was faulty.

The bumper was removed so we could gain access, and once the fault was confirmed, we ordered a genuine Mercedes-Benz replacement headlight. 🔧

Once fitted, the job wasn’t simply a case of plugging the new headlight in and sending the customer on their way.

We carried out the necessary coding, programming and calibration using the correct Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment to make sure everything was operating exactly as it should. ✅

🚨 ANOTHER JOB COMPLETED — AND THIS ONE WAS A SERIOUS TEAM EFFORT! 🚨

This vehicle came in for one of our very important customers, and we knew we had to get it turned around in an extremely tight timeframe.

So the WH Autos team rallied together, rolled our sleeves up and got stuck in — even if that meant working through the night into the early hours of the morning! 🌙🔧

The work included:

🔧 Inlet manifold replacement
🔧 Twin turbo replacement
🔧 Rocker cover replacement

And, as always, it wasn’t completely straightforward! 😅

We came across a few dramas along the way, including seized injectors, but we weren’t going to let that stop us. 💪

After a long night and plenty of hard work, the job was completed and the vehicle was ready to go within the required timeframe. ✅

This is what we mean when we say we go the extra mile for our customers. When the pressure is on, the whole team pulls together to get the job done properly.

🔧 Vauxhall – Clutch Replacement 🔧

Another clutch job completed here at WH Autos!

Our customer brought their Vauxhall to us reporting that the clutch was slipping. We carried out a quick inspection and confirmed the clutch was definitely at fault.

We got the parts ordered and got to work:

✅ Gearbox removed
✅ Clutch replaced
✅ Gearbox oil replaced
✅ Everything reassembled
✅ Road tested to confirm the repair was successful
✅ Tracking checked and adjusted

As part of the repair, we had to remove the subframe, so we always recommend checking the wheel alignment afterwards to make sure everything is correctly set.

Another job completed and another happy customer back on the road! 🚗💨

🔧 Mercedes-Benz – Driver’s Seat Electrical Fault Diagnosed & Repaired 🔧

Another electrical fault diagnosed and repaired here at WH Autos.

The customer brought their Mercedes-Benz to us with an issue with the driver’s seat electronics, with the seat no longer moving backwards and forwards.

After carrying out a full electrical diagnosis, we traced the fault to the rear SAM control unit, which had suffered significant corrosion caused by water ingress over a long period of time.

As you can see from the photos, the control unit, relays and associated circuitry had become heavily corroded. This was causing electrical issues, including repeatedly blowing fuses and preventing the driver’s seat from operating correctly.

We ordered a replacement control unit and carried out the installation. Once fitted, we checked the system and tested the seat through its full range of operation.

✅ Seat now operating perfectly
✅ Electrical fault rectified
✅ No further fuse blowing
✅ Full operation checked after repair

Mercedes-Benz CL 500 – Pre-MOT Inspection

The Mercedes-Benz CL 500 has been brought into WH Autos for a comprehensive pre-MOT inspection.

We will carry out a thorough check of the vehicle, including:

* Braking system
* Suspension and steering components
* Tyres and wheels
* Lights and electrical items
* Exhaust and emissions
* Wipers and washers
* Number plates and visibility
* Underbody and general condition
* Any warning lights or faults that could affect the MOT

Any issues identified will be reported to the customer, along with recommendations for any work required before the vehicle is presented for its MOT.

🚨 NEW KIT FOR THE WH AUTOS WORKSHOP! 🔧🚗

Running a busy workshop means we never know what’s going to arrive through the doors — especially when it comes to breakdowns and vehicles that simply won’t move!

We’ve now added a set of heavy-duty wheel skates to our workshop equipment. 💪

They’re going to make life so much easier when we get vehicles in that are stuck in Park, have a gearbox fault, failed brakes, flat batteries or simply can’t be driven or moved under their own power.

Instead of fighting with them around the yard, we can safely get the vehicle onto the skates and move it around the workshop and yard with ease. 👌

Another little investment in the workshop to help us work smarter, keep vehicles moving and provide a better service to our customers.

🚨 Mercedes A-Class – A crash repair that wasn’t quite what it seemed…

We recently had a Mercedes-Benz A-Class brought into our workshop by a customer following an accident.

The customer reported that since the crash, they had been regularly having to top up the coolant.

We carried out a thorough inspection along with a cooling system pressure test, which identified a coolant leak at the front of the engine.

On further inspection, we found some very concerning workmanship around the oil cooler housing, with damage that appeared to have been covered rather than properly repaired or the damaged component replaced.

📸 We wanted to share these two photos to raise awareness of what can sometimes be hidden following accident repairs.

When a vehicle has been involved in an accident, it’s extremely important that all damaged components are properly inspected and replaced where necessary. A vehicle may look perfectly fine externally, but there can be damage underneath that can lead to coolant loss, overheating and potentially much more serious engine problems.

At WH Autos, we believe in finding the cause of the problem rather than simply treating the symptoms.

🔧 Another job completed at WH Autos – and a new customer! 🚗

We’ve just had this Škoda brought into the workshop after the customer noticed they were having to top up the coolant on a regular basis.

We carried out a thorough cooling system pressure test to investigate the coolant loss. During testing, we found a slight leak around the water pump.

We contacted the customer, explained our findings and gained authorisation to proceed with the repair.

We then supplied and fitted a genuine replacement water pump, refilled the cooling system and carried out the necessary checks to ensure the system was operating correctly with no further leaks.

💧 Regular coolant loss should never be ignored. Even a small leak can develop into a much bigger problem if left unattended and can potentially lead to overheating and serious engine damage.
