£4,000 worth of damage… for 12 cans of Red Bull 🤦‍♂️

A couple of weeks ago I secured the first van for Take 5 after it had been broken into twice in a matter of weeks by peeling down the side door.

Two replacement doors. Around £4k in damage.

And all they got away with was 12 cans of Red Bull. 😂

After that installation, Pete left the review:

“I’m booking him in for the rest of the fleet.”

True to his word, I was back today securing another 2 vans. 🔐

Ford Transit Custom secured in Hessle 🔐

We fitted this Transit Custom with 2 deadlocks and a replacement high-security RepLock, giving the van additional protection to the load area as well as upgrading the vulnerable factory driver’s door lock.

All professionally installed at the customer’s location in Hessle, East Yorkshire.

🔐 Two vans secured in Birstall

A Renault Trafic and Ford Transit Custom, both fitted with additional security.

🔒 Deadlocks fitted to the side and rear doors
🛡️ Internal stainless steel latch shields fitted to both vans

The deadlocks provide an additional independent locking point, while the internal shields add extra protection around the vulnerable factory locking mechanisms.

All fitted on-site, keeping both vans protected and ready for work. 🚐🔐

5 am start… there was definitely a reason for it 🤣

First stop, Costa ☕️

Then over to Preston to fit 4 slamlocks across 2 brand new VW Crafters before the customer needed the vans back out working.

An almost 2-hour drive each way, so obviously while I was over that way it would’ve been rude not to make a little stop 🔴🛠️

The real reason for the early start? 🤣

Disneyland.

Then back to Barnsley for the last job of the day — 2 deadlocks fitted to a Renault Trafic, got there just in time for the rain🤣🌧️

🔐 Brand new Vauxhall Movano secured in Rochdale

We travelled over to Rochdale to fit 4 deadlocks to this brand new Movano before it gets converted into a camper.

A camper conversion is a big investment, so securing it properly makes sense from the start.

I travelled to Leeds to fit deadlocks to all doors on this camper conversion, giving the owner an additional layer of independent security across the cab, side-loading and rear doors.

All locks operate from the same key and have been fitted neatly without interfering with the ongoing conversion.

Brand new VW Crafter secured 🔐

Slamlocks fitted to the rear and side loading doors for a courier who’s constantly in and out of the van throughout the day.

This is exactly where slamlocks come into their own — shut the door and it’s locked. No having to remember to lock it every time you make a delivery.

Ford Transit Custom secured 🔐

Deadlocks fitted to the rear and side loading doors, with a Replock fitted to the driver’s door.

On Ford vans I always recommend the Replock. It replaces the vulnerable factory driver’s door lock.

For me, 2 deadlocks + a Replock is the minimum security setup I’d recommend on a Transit Custom.
