Banbury Festival of Motoring August 23rd 2026 - 10am to 3pm. A free event for the community in the Town Centre & Market Place, celebrating all things Automotive in and around our town.

We want your help! We are in the process of shortlisting the charity that we are going to fundraise for at this year's event and we want input from you to help us decide which direction we should go in! We will review the comments Sunday evening and make a decision from there

Our current short list is:

- Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital (Smaller regional cause - based in Haddenham but regularly rescuing/caring for wildlife from our area)

- Campaign Against Living Miserably - (National Men's mental health charity )

We have fundraised for Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse and Katharine House Hospice in previous years, both of which are incredible causes supporting our area, and look forward to finalising this year's charity.

Display applications are now open! We are doing the same as last year where you pay £10 but get it back in vouchers to spend on the day (we actually lose £1+ every time but it guarantees attendance) or you can buy the premium ticket which will give you a T-shirt and event poster too, as well as supporting the event overheads a little bit. You can register your interest on our website and will be sent a link to purchase your ticket if your application is successful. We cannot wait to see you all there!

We are excited to launch this year’s official event poster, in conjunction with BBM Sport who will be returning to the Festival of Motoring this year and displaying the incredible Peugeot 9x8 Hypercar which was built to run in & and is famous for its wingless design, featuring a 2.6L twin-turbo V6 and an electric motor!

I can’t imagine there was a single person who walked past this car on the day and didn’t think… jeeeez I wish that was mine!! This absolutely fabulously modified Stagea belonging to was pride of place on the display and also won one of the Sponsor’s Choice awards, deservingly so!
