Good morning everyone 👋🏼

It’s been 2 months since my Instagram and Facebook accounts were hacked and I’m still no further forward with regaining access…

So - here I am - having started this new page a few weeks back, with little over 100 followers on both platforms, trying to rebuild my socials from scratch after 12 years experience as a driving instructor - how annoying!!

Anyway, a little throwback (there will be lots more to come to bring some colour to this new grid 😁) to August 2020 when my daughters and I featured in The Courier’s “Back to School” article after lockdown!

I’m looking forward to spending the last day of the holidays with them today 👭

Thanks to everyone who has followed my new accounts ❤️ a little share would go a long way 🙏

My original “The Mathie School of Motoring” Facebook account is still active (although I can’t access it) but it will be deleted in time.

Congratulations to Sophie for passing her practical test this afternoon with just 1 minor ⭐️

Sophie, being the 3rd Stockwell sibling in the last 3 years to pass her test on their first attempt 👏🏼

It was a privilege to be asked to teach James and Sophie after Michael having the first successful test!

Your dedication to lessons (especially over the last week!) made for a lovely drive in sunny Kirkcaldy this morning.

All that manifesting worked - you set out to make yourself and “your instructor” proud and you certainly did that 🤩

❔ What do I need to know about the 'show me' question?

🚙 When you take your practical test, your examiner will ask you 2 vehicle safety questions.

👀 You'll be asked one 'show me' question. This series will help you learn the 'show me' questions!

1️⃣ You’ll get one driving fault (sometimes called a ‘minor’) if you get one or both questions wrong. So it's important you know what to do.

👍 Remember - every cars different and your instructor should be teaching you how to do all these checks.

💭 Remember once you've parked - You and your passengers should check before opening the car doors. Watch out for other road users, particularly cyclists and motorcyclists, when opening a door on to the road, and for pedestrians when opening a door on to the pavement.
