🔧 Back to what we do best...

The last few weeks have been incredibly busy here at Baxenden Car Breakers.

From winning two awards at the Accrington Soapbox Challenge 🏆🏆 to hosting our Charity Cricket Day in support of Andy's Man Club 💙, it's been a fantastic period for the business and our local community.

At the same time, we've continued to keep the yard moving despite a few challenges along the way, including equipment issues and a busy holiday period.

Now that the events are behind us and the summer holidays are coming to an end, it's time to shift our full focus back to the business.

✅ Full team back on site ✅ New preventative maintenance schedule in place ✅ Daily machine checks now live and actively monitored ✅ Parts continuing to flow into inventory ✅ Around four artic loads per day leaving site with processed materials ✅ Stockpiles reducing.

Most importantly, we're now able to put our attention back onto the heart of the operation, processing End-of-Life Vehicles and recovering quality parts for reuse.

It's easy to see the finished product, but a huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes to keep everything moving safely, efficiently, and responsibly.

A big thank you to the entire team for their hard work over the last few weeks. The yard is in a great position and we're excited to see what the rest of the year brings.

💚🏏 THANK YOU. 🏏💚

After lots of planning, organising, sponsorship meetings and plenty of hard work, our Andy's Man Club Charity Cricket Day is over.

What a day it was.

We'd like to thank every single person who attended, donated, volunteered, played, shared a post, bought a raffle ticket or helped in any way.

A very special thank you goes to our sponsors, Clayton Park Bakery and Every Trade TDG Contracts Ltd, whose support helped make the event possible.

We'd also like to thank the many local businesses who generously donated raffle prizes. The support we received was incredible, and the raffle proved to be hugely popular throughout the day. We were genuinely overwhelmed by the generosity shown and couldn't have achieved what we did without those donations.

The biggest aim of the event was to raise awareness of men's mental health and help spread the message that it's okay to talk. Judging by the conversations we had throughout the day, we believe we achieved exactly that.

Seeing families, local businesses, content creators and supporters come together for such an important cause made all the effort worthwhile.

We've learned a huge amount from organising our first charity event, and we're incredibly proud of what our community achieved together.

After 3 months of torture and yard buildup, the Cat is finally back up and running! We've tackled major misfire issues as soon as it got warm. The baler is also operational. James returns tomorrow, but we've received some bad news: 5th gear has blown on the gearbox.

🏆🏆 What a day at the Accrington Soapbox Challenge!

In case you missed it, Team Mutt Cutts had an incredible day on Saturday and were fortunate enough to come away with not one, but TWO awards! 🎉

Months of planning, building, decorating, and a lot of teamwork went into making the day a success, so to be recognised with two awards made it all worthwhile.

A huge thank you to the organisers, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who came out to support the event. The atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic and it was great to see so many local businesses and members of the community getting involved.

Of course, we'd also like to thank everyone who cheered on Team Mutt Cutts and helped make the day one to remember.

Now the big question is...
