With multiple exciting builds currently underway, today Owen got stuck into this MK8 R, preparing it for our Stage 3 package.

A whole host of performance upgrades and supporting modifications are being carried out, ensuring everything is ready to make the most of Ecotune’s Stage 3 software.

What a way to wrap up the weekend — handing back Mykal’s fully transformed MK7 Clubsport GTI after completing our full Stage 3 package 🔥

After carrying out our meticulous data logging process alongside the team at Ecotune HQ, the final results were seriously impressive:

🔥 PHOENIX R - NOT A ONE TRICK PONY🔥

A couple of weeks ago, we reset our PB while attending the Yam-Yam Test Day 💪🏾

After fitting the G30-770 turbocharger, the magician Stan sent over a base file for us to run on the day. Straight off the trailer, the car laid down a 9.8 quarter mile — beating our previous 9.9 on the G25-700 😮‍💨

And that was only with 0.6 bar of boost on launch… so we knew we were off to a strong start.

Last week, we took the car back out for more testing, this time at our friends’ Track Day at 🏁

The car was faultless all day, and even though it’s still running on a base map, it’s already giving us loads more data and potential to work with.

Next step: dyno time for some proper sawwwce with that 4port goodness 😎💪🏾

Big shoutout to Stan, , the whole Ignite team, and all the brands supporting this build and helping push it this far. It just goes to show this project isn’t just a one trick pony — it’s a car that can perform wherever it goes.

📈🚀 STAGE 3 POLO GTI IS38 – 396BHP & 394LBFT 🚀📈

Jake made the 6½-hour round trip to bring his Polo GTI to us for its Stage 3 transformation 🔥

After seeing the results we consistently achieve within the Polo community, Jake got in touch wanting us to take his build to the next level and complete the package properly 👌

As with every Stage 3 vehicle that comes through our doors, we started with our full pre-tuning inspection to ensure the car was mechanically fit and ready for tuning. During the inspection we discovered a faulty HPFP sensor, which caused a slight delay, but once replaced we were able to continue with all checks successfully ✅

One thing we always stress is that Stage 3 tuning is not simply a case of flashing software and sending the car out the door. The software is only as good as the hardware behind it, and proper preparation is key to achieving reliable power and results like these 💪

Once everything checked out, we returned the vehicle to stock before flashing Ecotune Stage 3 ECU Reflex software.

Following extensive data logging and close liaison with Ecotune, the Polo finished up producing a very healthy:

🚀 396BHP
🚀 394LBFT Torque

We then carried out thorough road logging to ensure everything was operating exactly as it should — and it’s safe to say this little Polo is MOVING 🔥🔥

🚀🔥STAGE 2 AUDI S3 8V.2 – 402BHP & 429LBFT🔥🚀

We recently had Finlay travel over 8 hours round trip to bring us his stunning Audi S3 for our Stage 2 ECU & TCU package 🙂

As always, the car first underwent our full pre-tuning inspection. During checks, we found the cam magnets were out of tolerance, so we replaced them with a fresh set of genuine units to ensure everything was spot on before tuning began. 👌

With the car given the green light, we flashed the vehicle back to stock before installing Ecotune Stage 2 ECU & TCU software.

After multiple dyno runs and data logging while working closely with the team at Ecotune, we achieved an impressive and healthy:

📈402BHP & 429LBFT

To finish things off, we carried out extensive road logging to make sure the car performed just as perfectly on the road as it did on the dyno — and the results were flawless ✅

The keys are now back with Finlay, and it’s safe to say he’s absolutely over the moon with both the drivability and the huge increase in performance 🤝

🌶️😱 STAGE 3 CUPRA POWERMAX 2 – 556BHP & 445LBFT ON 99RON 😱🌶️

We recently welcomed Sam to Ignite after he began experiencing drivability issues with his already stage 3 Cupra.

Following a telephone call discussing the symptoms and behaviour of the car, we were able to narrow the issue down to a damaged turbocharger. Once stripped and inspected, it was clear the turbo had suffered foreign object damage, with the compressor fins heavily damaged and no longer operating efficiently.

After discussing the options with Sam, he decided to go ahead with our proven Stage 3 package, built using the components we recommend for achieving 500+ bhp. Before any tuning work began, we carried out our full pre-tuning inspection and maintenance process — especially important after a turbo failure.

As part of the process, we upgraded the existing fuel system and replaced the oversized downpipe — because in this case, bigger definitely wasn’t better 😉

Our comprehensive inspection included:

✅ Sump removal, inspection & clean
✅ Boost pipe removal & inspection
✅ Intercooler inspection
✅ Injector testing
✅ Compression test
✅ Bore scope inspection
✅ Boost pressure test
✅ Full visual inspection
✅ Complete diagnostic scan

Once everything checked out healthy, we supplied and fitted the following:

✨ POWERMAX 2 Turbocharger ✅
✨ NGK Spark Plugs ✅
✨ Minor Service ✅
✨ RamAir Intake ✅
✨ Scorpion Downpipe ✅
✨ Ecotune HPFP ✅
✨ Ecotune LPFP ✅
✨ Ecotune Fuel Line Kit ✅
✨ Ecotune Stage 3 ECU Software ✅
✨ Ecotune Stage 3 TCU Software ✅

With the hardware installed and the vehicle flashed back to stock, we worked closely with the team at Ecotune to begin calibration and data logging. The Cupra produced an incredible 556bhp and 445lbft on 99RON fuel 🌶️🤯

This is the highest figure we’ve seen from a POWERMAX 2 setup here at Ignite — backed up by exceptionally clean logs and a graph that speaks for itself 🥵

Final road testing was then carried out by Owen and James to ensure everything performed exactly as it should under real-world conditions… and “stomach turning” would be putting it lightly 🚀

A perfect example of how a properly built stage 3 package should be done😎
