Growing up in the UK 🇬🇧 I never appreciated the they were common place and also the lines a little too angular for me as a Aircooled VW fan. But since living in the USA 🇺🇸 these past 10+ years I have grown to appreciate these cars and none more than the
Interestingly the USA did get these cars as the but they were not the most popular back in their day. Now these cars have a cult following globally.
This lovely I photographed at the event at last month and it just looked so damn good!

I am not usually a fan of the from however this exceptionally clean example spotted at was superbly done, you could have eaten your dinner off the engine it was so clean!

Spotted this at Hazzardretros last weekend, sat there unassuming, many not knowing what a legendary car it is.

I am not sure if this was the original car that took 5th place at the 1956 24hr and 3rd place at 1957 12hr but it has the right number plate and all the names, stickers and autographs point to it being the original car. If it is, the fact it out on the road and enjoying the Kent sunshine at a breakfast meet is remarkable. It would be worth a small fortune.

Awesome race between 10 second A30 pickup and 9 second at yesterday.
The weather was perfect for the event as you can see. Was such a treat to catch some while in the UK for the weekend.

A ton of great cars at the Hazzard Retro breakfast meet. I was so glad I got to go to this while I was in the UK this weekend.

The bus is so iconic that it’s still used today by so many companies as a marketing tool even though they are over 60 years old! Proof and point of this is seeing this beauty during my day job with KVH at SMM in which is one of the world’s largest Commercial Maritime events.
