Midsummer often marks the start of the summer holiday season, and for many, that means heading out on the road. 🚗

Before setting off with passengers, luggage and summer gear on board, remember one quick safety check: tire pressure. A heavily loaded car affects how your tires perform. Too-low tire pressure can increase braking distance and make steering more difficult, especially in sudden situations.

Before you go:

✅ Check tire pressure
✅ Check tire tread depth
✅ Check fluids
✅ Load the car safely
✅ Make sure lights and wipers work

Did you know that bus and truck tires can be given a second, a third, or even a fourth lease on life? Retreading is a widely used way to extend tire service life, while saving both money and the environment.

🛠️ How it works: Thanks to high quality tire carcasses, the same tire can be retreaded several times. During retreading, the worn tread is removed and a new, safe tread is applied — ready for another full service life. With multiple retreads, a single tire can deliver up to one million kilometers of use.

🌿Retreading dramatically lowers the carbon footprint: Producing a new truck tire generates approximately 220 kilograms of CO2 emissions, while retreading produces only about 40 kilograms. Furthermore, each retread saves 40 kilograms of rubber and 70 liters of oil per tire, compared to manufacturing new ones.

🛞Safe and reliable: Retreaded bus and truck tires are a fully regulated, standards controlled product, making them a safe alternative to new tires and comparable in performance.
