The Lamborghini Revuelto is Lamborghini’s flagship plug-in hybrid supercar and the successor to the Aventador. It marks the brand’s first series-production V12 hybrid, combining traditional naturally aspirated performance with electrification while remaining the centerpiece of Lamborghini’s lineup.
Powertrain and performance
At the heart of the Revuelto is a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 paired with three electric motors and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Together they produce 1,015 CV (about 1,001 hp), enabling 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. Unlike many hybrid supercars, the electric motors are designed not only for efficiency but also for instant torque delivery and front-axle torque vectoring, improving agility and traction.
Design and engineering
The Revuelto introduces an all-new carbon-fibre monofuselage chassis that is both lighter and significantly stiffer than its predecessor. Its sharp, angular styling continues Lamborghini’s signature design language while incorporating active aerodynamics, distinctive hexagonal exhaust outlets, and improved airflow for cooling and downforce. The cockpit is more modern than previous V12 Lamborghinis, featuring multiple digital displays and greater everyday usability without abandoning the dramatic driving position expected from the brand.
Why it matters
The Revuelto represents a pivotal moment for Lamborghini because it demonstrates how the company is transitioning to electrification without abandoning its iconic naturally aspirated V12. Rather than replacing the engine, the hybrid system enhances performance, making the Revuelto both the technological flagship and the spiritual continuation of Lamborghini’s long line of V12 halo cars.
Position in the Lamborghini lineup
As Lamborghini’s flagship model, the Revuelto sits above the brand’s other sports cars and showcases its latest engineering innovations. It serves as the benchmark for future high-performance Lamborghinis by blending electrification, lightweight construction, and extreme performance while preserving the emotional appeal that defines the marque’s V12 heritage.
