Many early spec parts were fitted to the car, including white faced dials and tweed grey striped seats.

A before and after of backdating a final-batch 2012 Chinese market VW Santana to 1983 spec. Although the shell remains the same, many details are changed throughout the car.

To fit the 13 inch steelies, it was even required to change the front brake calipers and discs to the smaller early variant.
