Mein Freund, es war mir eine Ehre...
One of the finest characters of the Glemseck 101 crossed the finish line and his final flag has fallen. He fought for a very long time, over three years, and everyone who knew him knows – he always got up, looked at the day in front and thought: „Not today you bloody bastard cancer.“
♠️♠️♠️♠️🏁☀️
In the end, as so often, cancer is the big ace of spade and death the winner. Dani is gone and hopefully now to a place where he can kite endlessly, the second sport he loved most beside riding motorcycles, making some of his awesome jumps to catch the sun.
Whoever of you had the pleasure of being led by him to the 101 starting line, and these were many of you, amateurs as world class racers, remember his look in your eyes to calm you down and his tap on your helmet as the final sign for: »You are now ready to go …«
… and to all the others also: Next time you raise you glass - Dani favored Gin - pause for a minute and send him a cheers! A loud toast for him to show some harp players up there how to organize and race a 1/8 Mile correctly.
We will miss you Dani and our love to your family and your wonderful wife Carmen, who was at all time, in good and in bad, on your side. And thank you dear Carmen for your strength in this time and your permission to commemorate him also as Glemseck 101 and Team 101 Race Control.
Steven and all Glemseck 101
