Second podium of the weekend! In the third race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (VLN) the car 16 Mercedes-AMG Team HRT finished in 1st place on 7/12 after the maiden victory for the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 on 7/11. The Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Teams achieved two more class victories with the car 8 Mercedes-AMG GT3 by GetSpeed Performance (SP9 Pro-Am) and the car 155 Mercedes-AMG GT4 by Black Falcon Team TEXTAR (SP8T). Car 2, 17 and 6 rounded off the successful double-header weekend at the Nürburgring in P5, P8 and P11.

The GT-R Pro is the new flagship from Mercedes-Benz
The limited-edition model is based on the track-focused GT-R added for 2018 but brings even more goodies aimed at slashing lap times. We're talking a Nürburgring lap time of 7.04.632, which is among the fastest times for a traditional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive car.
Just 750pcs are destined for production and fans in the United States will need to front up more than $225.K to own one.
The GT R Pro doesn't offer any extra power than the GT-R on which it is based, so the car's 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 churns out 577 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, or enough for 0-100 mph acceleration in 3.6 seconds and top speed of 317 km/h.
