Hani and Ghazi are a married couple of Pakistani origin, previously living and working in the United States, who have recently quit their lifestyles to hop on a motorcycle and cruise through the world. Seeing the world on a motorcycle was their ultimate dream and they have put aside all their other life plans to be on the road with each other and their beloved bike, Sindbad-the sailor!

We managed to change the oil using help from some friends we made at Stfan' s place last night and are now trying to load up the bike and finally get a start. But like I said...getting started is the hardest part of the trip. Making matters seriously worse was the $600 Redverz tent especially designed for adventure tourers. First off..it is huge, even packed up, secondly it started tipping the bike backwards with its weight when we mounted it to the top box. There is NO WAY that tent is going with us!

Arrrgggghhhh! Why is the most difficult part just to get started???? So after we resolved the pannier issue, we decided to take the bike for a test ride around beautiful Heidelberg. And right when we were getting ready to leave we noticed some oil leaking from the engine. Both me n Ghazi r pouty faced right now. Umm what now??? :((((

Putting up the panniers was way more complicated than we had anticipated. On the surface they looked great but they just didn't fit the bike right out of the box. For those familiar with the prices of Touratech-USA...if thats what I had paid...I would be furious if they they needed as much work. To make matters worse, the top box was missing its mounting kit. Thanks to Stfan Knopf Tours..we were able to get everything on. Taking a break at Berlin airport...almost there! Its been two months since we've shipped the bike and are now anxious to see if it reached in one piece and more importantly whether all that stuff we bought from countless trips to REI over the past six months will actually fit on the bike or not! fingers crossed!
