BRUCE ROBERTS 53 – A SERIOUS STEEL OFFSHORE SAILING YACHT

The owner is motivated to sell this custom-built Bruce Roberts 53G, completed in 2010 and built by the owner himself.

This is a boat built with strength and long-distance cruising in mind. The hull is constructed in A-36 steel, with 3/16" hull plating and 1/4" steel under the mast. The keel and rudder are also heavily constructed.

One of the interesting features of this yacht is that she has spent considerably more time out of the water than in it. The hull has been isolated and the rudder was replaced. She has also been taken out of the water every year.

Powered by a Perkins 4-236, 87 HP diesel with approximately 1,200 hours, she comes equipped with North Sails, Simrad navigation, Icom VHF and SSB, hydraulic steering at both interior and exterior helm stations, and a Caribe tender with 15 HP Honda outboard.
