ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED SILICONE OIL CLUTCH WATER PUMP
The electronically controlled silicone oil clutch water pump is an upgrade based on the mechanical water pump. A clutch with silicone oil is added between the pulley and the water pump impeller. The impeller is driven by the shear torque of the silicone oil in the clutch. The water pump is connected to the engine through a wiring harness. According to the ECU program, the amount of silicone oil in the clutch is controlled according to the engine requirements (including load, water temperature, etc.) to achieve different impeller speeds. At the same time, the impeller speed information is collected and fed back to the ECU to achieve closed-loop control. When the vehicle is in a bad working condition and the water pump needs to run at full load, the ECU controls the clutch to fully engage. When the vehicle is in a good working condition: the road condition is smooth, the engine runs at high speed, and the water pump does not need to work at full load, the ECU controls the clutch to disengage and the impeller speed is reduced. This allows the impeller speed to be executed on demand and energy consumption to be optimized.
