A closer look at an aluminum die-cast footplate for a manual wheelchair.

Parts used in mobility equipment may appear simple, but the manufacturing review still needs to consider mounting points, part geometry, wall thickness, secondary machining, surface finishing and final assembly requirements.

This casting is one stage in the complete manufacturing process before the finished footplate is ready for assembly.

HSX manufactures custom aluminum die cast components based on customer drawings and project requirements.

A die-cast part doesn’t come out of the machine looking like a finished component.

The first part of this video shows freshly cast aluminum components with the runner and overflow system still attached.

These areas are removed during subsequent processing before the component moves on to any required machining, surface finishing and inspection.

The second part takes us back inside the die casting cycle as the machine prepares for the next shot.

What happens between two aluminum die casting shots?

After the casting leaves the die, the automated die spray system moves into position and applies release agent across the die surface before the equipment resets for the next cycle.

It may only take a few seconds, but these repeatable steps are an important part of day-to-day die casting production.

HSX manufactures custom aluminum die cast housings, brackets and industrial components based on customer drawings and project requirements.

A closer look at an aluminum die-cast motor housing in production.

Motor and electric equipment housings are common applications for aluminum die casting because complex housing structures can be formed efficiently and then finished according to the project’s machining and surface requirements.

At HSX, we review each OEM project based on the customer’s drawing, part structure, material, quantity, tolerances and finishing requirements before quotation.

What happens immediately after an aluminum die casting is formed?

Once the die opens, an automatic extractor removes the fresh casting from the machine and transfers it out for the next production step.

Automated handling helps keep the production cycle repeatable while reducing unnecessary manual handling around the die casting machine.

The final part of the video shows a batch of cast components ready for subsequent processing.

HSX produces custom aluminum die cast housings, brackets and industrial components based on customer drawings.

A real aluminum die casting production cycle inside the HSX workshop.

After the die opens, release agent is sprayed to prepare the die for the next shot and support stable part release.

For custom aluminum die-cast parts, stable production depends not only on machine tonnage, but also on die condition, spraying, filling, cooling, and process control.

HSX supports suitable small-to-medium OEM projects from drawing review and tooling to sample confirmation and repeat production.
