REVIEW : - 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
It will rocket to 60 mph in just under four seconds flat and continue running through the quarter mile in 12.3 seconds at 119 mph.
The ZL1 steering is electrically assisted, unique in the Camaro lineup.
The Hydra-Matic 6L90 automatic transmission has three different drive modes: Drive, Sport and Manual (with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters).

Bespoke McLaren MP4-12C-based X-1 created...........
This is the McLaren X-1, a dramatic one-of-a-kind production car based on the McLaren MP4-12C that was dreamed up by an anonymous McLaren enthusiast. McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the McLaren division behind delivering bespoke projects, turned it into reality, and it will be seen in public for the first and only time at Pebble Beach this weekend.

The X-1 took three years to create and was born out of a conversation between McLaren chief Ron Dennis and the anonymous enthusiast, whose car collection includes a McLaren F1, McLaren-Mercedes SLR and a 12C.

BMW Zagato Roadster revealed..........
Following BMW’s striking BMW Zagato Coupe concept at the Villa d’Este Concours in May, the Bavarian marque has now unveiled a one-off roadster version at the 2012 Concours d’Elegance.

Based on the BMW Z4 sDrive35iS drivetrain, power for the new roadster (and preceding coupe model) is derived from BMW’s turbocharged 3.0-lite, six-cylinder engine. It receives increased boost pressure, an altered exhaust system and modifications that increase power from 335bhp in standard guise to 400bhp

2012 Volkswagen Tiguan Review.............
The Volkswagen Tiguan hasn't exactly enjoyed booming success on the U.S. market. In a land populated by a people distrustful of anything with less than a league of ground clearance under the belly pan, the high-riding CUV should have been right at home. But a preponderance of well-oiled competitors like the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape meant elbowing onto the scene was a bit more difficult than Volkswagen anticipated. That trend has been hard to buck in the three years since the machine first touched our shores. While the model has seen a steady climb from the 13,903 units it sold in 2009 to the 25,990 that went home last year, those figures pale in comparison to the heavyweight Honda. Buyers bought nearly eight times the number of CR-V models in 2011.

So, the engineers and designers at Volkswagen freshened up the Tiguan for 2012. Small tricks like a new front fascia and reworked light elements help give the vehicle a more upscale appearance outside, while the interior retains all of the simplicity and well-executed materials that we've come to appreciate from the German automaker. Slightly improved fuel economy is also part of the recipe, but these changes aren't quite enough to help the Tiguan hold its own against all-new generations of both the CR-V and the Escape.

Tools for car engine care...........

1) Tinfoil/cling film
The simplest tool here, tinfoil or cling film protects most parts that you do not want cleaning fluids falling onto like the electrical wires, air intake etc. It is waterproof, doesn’t tear easily, and its ability to fold into any shape is very useful.

The prices of these products range from Rs 50 (Home Foil).

2) Degreaser/cleaner
A degreaser should be sprayed on to all the surfaces inside the engine bay before cleaning it, components in the engine bay are subject to oil, grease and a lot of dirt. Do take care not to spray the degreaser onto any body panels, it strips them of any wax or sealant that you may have applied. Agitate the degreasing solution over the applied surfaces using a brush or cloth and leave it for around ten minutes. Rinse this off to get a clean surface. Switch on the engine for around a minute to speed up the drying process, also use a cloth.

The prices of these products range from Rs 200 (Permatex Grez-Off 5 oz bottle) to Rs 8000 (Aero away clear 1 gallon, 2 can pack).

3) Plastic and metal detailing fluids
After the engine bay is dry, use a microfiber towel or applicator to rub some plastic and metal detailing fluids onto the respective components. Rubber hoses can be nourished using a tyre dressing fluid, applied using a microfiber towel or applicator. Never spray or pour these fluids directly onto the surfaces inside the engine, a spillage can spoil other components.

FORD invests $135 million in Electrified vehicles......
Ford may not have a dedicated hybrid or EV platform, but it does have a new "Electrification Center of Excellence" down the street from its headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. Ford announced yesterday that it now has some 1,000 engineers devoted to electrified vehicles, most of whom work "under one roof" at the facility.

The 285,000-square-foot research and development lab used to be known as the Advanced Engineering Center, but has now been renamed the Ford Advanced Electrification Center. Ford has already hired 60 engineers to populate the effort this year, which carries a total investment of $135 million.

That's a nice chunk of change to spend on battery tech. But to put it into perspective, consider that General Motors admitted to dropping some $750 million on the Chevrolet Volt.
