✨ Just upgraded my 2009 VW Golf 6, and honestly… it feels years newer now.
If you’ve been driving a Golf 6 for a while, you probably know the feeling —
the original radio still works, but compared with modern cars it definitely shows its age 😅
No wireless CarPlay, basic connectivity, and an interface that feels pretty dated for everyday driving.
And with an older VW like a 2009 Golf 6, “plug & play” isn’t always quite that simple.
CANBUS compatibility, steering wheel controls, parking sensors, reverse camera support, and proper power management all need to be considered when choosing the right setup.
This time though, the **SCUMAXCON RCD360 PRO3S** upgrade came together really nicely.
The OEM-style design fits naturally into the Golf dashboard, while adding the modern features you actually want without losing that original VW look.
What stood out right away 👇
✅ Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto — quick, stable & cable-free
✅ Better sound quality — clearer vocals and fuller bass
✅ OEM-style fit — looks right at home in the Golf 6 dashboard
✅ Steering wheel controls & PDC support
✅ Reverse camera support
✅ Proper power setup for older VW models — helps avoid battery drain issues
For me, that’s what makes a good Golf 6 upgrade — keeping the clean factory look while bringing the everyday tech up to date.
If you’re still driving a **2009 Golf 6** with the original radio, I’m curious —
👉 **what would you upgrade first?**
Wireless CarPlay? Better sound? Reverse camera? Or just a more modern head unit?
Not sure if it fits your car?
