3 Irish lads taking a 22 year old €300 Nissan Micra from Ireland to Mongolia and back through Russia all in the name of 4 great charities!

Day 19: Lake Como, Italy to Langres, France via Lausanne, Switzerland - 640km

Nearing the end of the trip now! We left the Hostel in Lake Como and headed up the hills towards Switzerland

Beside the fact you know you're in Switzerland by driving through the boarder, you'd also know you're there because everything is absolutely postcard and picture perfect!
Having left the motorway again we ended up driving on some fantastic mountain roads with sweeping hairpin bends, beautiful little traditional style towns and majestic alpine mountains!

We had to stop in Lausanne to say hi to colleagues at Logitech and to thank them for their support for allowing Jack the time off... but also for the company doubling our donations for the charities.

After that, we made our way to Langres... simply because we found a cheap hotel and it was on route for the trip back the next day!
We realised why the hotel was so cheap when we arrived and ended up needing to find a new hotel... if we didn't we probably would have died 🤷🏼

Day 17: Dubrovnik, Croatia to Kozina, Slovenia - 666km 👻

Today we decided to spend a bit more time in Dubrovnik to take in some of the sights around the old town before hitting the road again for 1 of our last long drives.
After a nice breakfast and a walk around we hit the road again for Slovenia.
The motorways in Croatia is a thing of beauty! Unreal mountain drives, huge bridges and long tunnels.
We had to ditch the car into the side of the road at one point to take a call from on ... the things we do for fame 😂

Our drive through Slovenia was lovely with some beautiful small and quiet towns along the way!
We ended up in the Admiral Casino Hotel and debunked the saying "the house always wins" because won €500, won €15 and won €10.31 😂
Gambling is a terrible past time, 1 lad in there looked as stressed as if he just lost his house on the blackjack table!

Day 14: Batumi, Georgia to Istanbul, Turkey in one day - 1,350km

1,350km of solid driving in 1 day 😬😬😬
Today was all about covering milage to get back to Europe as fast as possible!

We left Batumi early and made our way to the boarder only down the road... 2 hours of waiting for literally nothing other than the sake of it at the Georgia/Turkey boarder.

The rest of the day included: road, road, road, road, road, road and a slight bit more road and 3 stops for petrol and food once!

We arrived into the craziness that is Istanbul traffic at roughly 1:30am... after a stressful drive through the traffic to get to the hotel it was a quick rest for Stephanie the Micra and us before getting back to Europe tomorrow morning

Day 11: Cappadocia to Bayburt - 630km

It is important to start by saying Cappadocia is one of those places where reality actually looks better than what you see on Instagram!

We had an early start at 4:45am to see the hot air balloons and they didn't disappoint! We were also treated to some classic boyfriends of Instagram photoshoot so obliged for some poses himself!

After we left Cappadocia, we made our way through even more beautiful Turkish countryside with again a landscape totally different to what we've seen in Turkey over the last 1000kms in the country!
We had mountain motorways, 10% gradient declines with no guardrails while going 60mph on winding roads. Small villages with animals roamed free on the streets and the local kids playground was also their slurry pit 🤷🏼
In Bayburt, the hotel manager reassured us that there were no terrorists in the area... and then we were treated to the worlds biggest kebab as per the picture! It was a loaf of bread with meat 😬
