I often get asked in my line of work what the “most reliable” vehicle brand is. So today, I did a deep dive into which manufacturers currently have lawsuits against them, which companies were transparent with customers, and which ones were not.

What I learned is that no brand is completely unaffected by lawsuits, recalls, or mechanical failures. Every manufacturer has had issues at some point, even the brands with the strongest reputations (these ones seemed to be the least honest about their issues). More recently, these issues seem to be far more widespread across the industry, with many brands experiencing very similar problems regardless of price point or reputation.

That’s why it’s important not to base your buying decision solely on what other people say or on a brand’s reputation alone. Take the time to research the vehicle for yourself, compare reliability, ownership experiences, warranties, and long term value. Sometimes a higher price tag can create a stronger reputation, but that doesn’t always mean it’s the best fit for your needs or budget. That’s why it’s important to talk to a trusted person like myself to help you sort out what exact vehicle is good for you! I’ll tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly.
