Just a little quickie Riding Crop project I started throwing together yesterday. The core of the handle is a carbon fiber rod wrapped in rawhide then electrical tape. Made that part months ago.
Now, it's plaited with kangaroo hide and just attaching a slapper then I'll trim out the handle end. Someone should love this.

Years ago I made my own jig for cutting leather hide into string. Then the string can be tied into a pineapple knot on a mandrel. Then the knot can be slid onto what ever piece I'm working on and snugged up. And look, a finished "duster" 😉 ready for testing. Customer request on this was a smaller handle and 14" falls.
