A lot of people get nervous when their bank says:

“Would you like to increase your credit limit?”

And they immediately think:

❌ “Baka masira credit ko.”
❌ “Baka ma-overuse ko.”
❌ “Mas malaking utang yan.”

But here’s something you should understand:
A higher credit limit doesn’t automatically mean you need to spend more.

For example:

Your current credit limit is:
💳 $2,000

And your usual monthly balance is around:
$500

That’s 25% utilization.

Now imagine your credit limit increases to:
💳 $5,000

But you STILL only spend around:
$500

Your utilization becomes:
10%

You’re using the same $500… but compared to your available credit, that’s a much smaller percentage.

That’s why, if you’re financially responsible and don’t increase your spending just because your limit increased, accepting a legitimate credit limit increase may help keep your credit utilization lower.

But remember:

🚨 A higher limit is NOT free money.

Don’t accept a limit increase and suddenly start spending more than you can afford.

The goal isn’t:

“Mas malaking credit limit = mas maraming shopping.” 😂

The goal is:

“Mas malaking available credit + responsible spending + on-time payments.”

So if your bank offers you a credit limit increase… Don’t automatically say NO out of fear.

Understand what it means first. And if you accept it?

Keep your spending under control. Because building good credit isn’t about having a huge credit limit.

It’s about showing that you can manage credit responsibly. 💳🇨🇦

Save this if you’re building your credit in Canada.

And send this to a friend who’s scared of accepting a credit limit increase. 👇

🚨 MAS MURA ANG CAR… PERO MAS MAHAL ANG MONTHLY?! 😳

Yes, possible ‘yan.

Maraming Filipino buyers dito sa Canada ang akala:

"Mas mura yung selling price, so mas mura din dapat ang monthly payment."

❌ Hindi laging ganun.

When financing a used car, hindi lang presyo ng vehicle ang tinitingnan.

🏦 Banks may consider things like:

• Your credit profile
• Income
• Existing debts
• Payment history
• The vehicle itself
• Model year

At dito nagiging interesting 👀

The vehicle’s model year can affect **how long the vehicle may be financed**, depending on the lender and financing program.

For example, imagine:

🚗 2018 Toyota RAV4 — $25,000

vs.

🚘 2022 Honda Civic — $25,000

SAME SELLING PRICE.

Pero dahil magkaiba ang model year at potentially magkaiba ang available financing term:

2018 RAV4
➡️ roughly $350 bi-weekly for 4 years

2022 Civic
➡️ roughly $230 bi-weekly for 7 years

That's approximately $120 difference every two weeks. 😳

So here's the BIG lesson:

❌ Don't shop based only on the selling price.

Instead, ask:

“Magkano ang comfortable payment ko every month?”

Because your payment can depend on several factors:

💰 Vehicle price
📈 Interest rate
💵 Down payment
📅 Financing term
💳 Credit profile
🚗 Vehicle/model year

Sometimes, a vehicle with a *higher selling price* can have a *lower payment* because it may qualify for a longer financing term or different financing program.

That's why before saying:

> “I want the cheapest car.”

Try saying:

> "This is my comfortable monthly budget. What options do I have?"

Then work backwards from there.

Because remember:

# SAME PRICE ≠ SAME PAYMENT. 🚗💰

👇 Quick question for you:

If you had a choice between:

A. $25,000 vehicle at $350 bi-weekly
or
B. $25,000 vehicle at $230 bi-weekly

Which one would YOU choose?

Comment A or B and tell us why. 👇
