Let’s talk parts availability.

Living in a small town has its perks, but getting vehicle parts quickly isn’t always one of them!

When it comes to older vehicles, finding the right parts can be a challenge. Sometimes parts are discontinued, on backorder, or simply not available locally. Instead of having a part delivered the same day, we may have to source it from another supplier or wait for it to come in.

We know nobody likes being without their vehicle, and we do our best to get you back on the road as quickly as possible! But sometimes, the delay is out of our hands. It’s not that we aren’t working on your vehicle — we’re waiting on the parts needed to get the job done right. 🛠️

A little patience goes a long way! ❤️ Supporting a small-town shop means understanding that we’re working hard behind the scenes to keep our community on the road.

❄️ DID YOU KNOW? DIESEL FUEL CHANGES WITH THE SEASONS! ⛽️

Just like you switch from summer tires to winter tires, diesel fuel is adjusted for colder temperatures too! 🥶

Winter diesel is formulated to handle the cold and help prevent fuel from gelling, which can restrict fuel flow and leave you with a truck that doesn’t want to start—or worse, leaves you stranded. 🚛💨

As temperatures drop, proper winter fuel becomes especially important for diesel vehicles. Cold weather can cause fuel to wax and thicken, putting extra strain on your fuel system and potentially plugging fuel filters.

👉 A few winter diesel tips:
• Keep your fuel tank reasonably full
• Make sure your fuel filter is in good condition
• Use the correct winter-grade fuel for the season
• Don’t wait until it’s -30°C to think about winter fuel! 🥶

❄️ DON’T LET YOUR WASHER FLUID FREEZE! 🚗

One small thing that’s easy to forget: switching your bug wash fluid to winter washer fluid!

Bug wash is great for summer, but once those temperatures start dropping, you want a washer fluid that’s designed to handle the cold. 🥶

✅ Drain or use up your summer fluid
✅ Fill up with winter-rated washer fluid
✅ Avoid frozen washer lines and nozzles
✅ Keep your windshield clear when you need it most!

Don’t wait for the first cold snap to find out your washer fluid isn’t winter-ready! 🚗❄️

🚗 DON’T LET YOUR TIRES BE THE LAST THING YOU CHECK! 🛞

Your tires are the only thing connecting your vehicle to the road, so keeping an eye on them is a big part of staying safe.

Before you hit the road, it’s worth checking for:
🔧 Proper tire pressure
👀 Uneven or excessive tread wear
⚠️ Cracks, bulges, or other damage
🛞 Tread depth
🔄 Uneven wear that could point to an alignment or suspension issue

Worn or improperly inflated tires can affect your braking, handling, fuel economy, and overall safety—especially when the roads get wet, icy, or snowy.

🚨 Hearing a Strange Noise From Your Blower Motor? Don’t Ignore It! 🚨

That rattle, squeak, grinding, or clicking noise coming from your HVAC fan isn’t something to just turn up the radio and forget about. 😉

Your blower motor fan can collect leaves, dirt, debris, and even small objects that make their way into the HVAC system. A noisy fan can also be a sign that the blower motor or fan wheel is starting to wear out.

Ignoring it can lead to:
🔧 Reduced airflow
🔧 Damage to the blower motor
🔧 A fan that eventually stops working

Can you spot the difference?

In this case the turbo shaft broke in half causing the turbine wheel to fly off and come out the exhaust. 😱

Your diesel’s turbocharger works hard to give you the power and efficiency you expect—but it needs some attention too!

A properly maintained turbo helps your engine:
🔧 Maintain proper boost and power
⛽ Run efficiently
🌡️ Manage exhaust temperatures
🛠️ Avoid expensive repairs caused by neglect

Dirty air filters, restricted intake systems, oil issues, excessive soot, and worn components can all put extra stress on your turbo. Catching problems early can save you from a much bigger repair down the road.
