Malaysia Airlines operated A380 between 2012 to 2022. Due to high operating and maintenance costs, unfavorable unit economics, and a lack of network demand made the quad-engine aircraft inefficient for their recovery plans. They deiced to return all A380 to Airbus financial services as part of plan to purchase A330 Neo fleets.
