We have two positions open for Mechanical Maintenance Mechanic. We are looking for the right candidate to join our team. Candidate needs to work well with others or alone. Have excellent communication skills and detail orientated. 2-4 years of mechanic experience would be an asset but not a deal breaker. Needs to have a valid class 5 drivers license and clean driving record for at least two years. Willing to apprentice the right candidate.
Job responsibilities include:
• Engine services - oil changes and tune ups
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Troubleshooting fundamentals for determining what repairs need to be completed. All repairs will be completed on site at location.
• Complete paperwork efficiently each day
Safety Certificates required, if candidate does not have, time can be given for them to be completed. First Aid with CPR, H2S, WHMIS, TDG
Candidate will get a fully equipped service truck, PPE will be provided.
Wages negotiable dependent on experience.
Work sites would be located in rural Peace River and surrounding area. Candidate would be home every night.

Whitty Automotive in Peace River, AB is seeking a 3rd Year or Journeyman Automotive Technician to join their team.
Job Duties:
Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned.
Diagnose the source of any malfunctions and perform required repairs.
Inspect vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is necessary.
Coordinate and explain required maintenance and repairs to Service Advisors.
Perform road tests and safety inspections.
Successful Candidates Possess:
Valid Automotive Technician Red Seal ticket would be amazing! But not required!
4th year? Amazing also but not required!
Strong Aptitude with technical/mechanical repairs.
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Ability to work in a team and possesses strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.
Ability to multitask with high attention to detail.

Position is Permanent, Full Time, Mon to Fri 8 hour shifts
Includes Dental, Extended Health Care and Disability after 3 months
Pay $28 - $46 per hour, negotiable dependent on Experience

Shop Automotive Tech responsibilities would include inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of all types of cars, light trucks.

Monday to Friday 8:30 -5. Includes some benefits.

Wage $25-$43/hr negotiable on experience.
