20-year-old PPF removal is no quick job!
It took 5.5 hours just to remove the old film from the partial hood, fender, A-pillars and roofline. After two decades, the film left a line across the hood, along with stubborn adhesive residue that had to be carefully removed. Every speck of glue matters—left behind, it can affect the finish and the new installation.
Once the old PPF was off, we gave the vehicle a thorough reset:
✅ Decontamination wash with fallout remover
✅ Clay bar treatment
✅ Second wash with IGL Blizzard soap
✅ Paint correction to remove scratches, marks and defects
Next, we’re installing full-front PPF on the hood, bumper, headlights, fenders, mirrors and A-pillars, plus a strip above the roofline.
To finish, we’ll apply IGL Shield to the PPF for added protection, a deep glossy shine, easier cleaning and hydrophobic performance. It also helps protect the film’s appearance against yellowing.
Old film removal takes patience and attention to detail. At Muscle Mouse Auto Spa, we take the time to get the surface right before the new protection goes on.
