So, I have recovered my vehicle with the help of the RCMP, the Halifax Regional police and many tipsters across Canada. I never knew how much vehicle theft occurred in Canada until this happened to me. I have been able to identify the thief, his name and his company. I'll provide more details on my experience with SHIPMYRIDE (a.k.a. shipmyridez, a.k.a. 1559637 ALBERTA LTD, a.k.a. "Vick", a.k.a. Millennium once I receive my e-copy of the RCMP police report, and the court action has begun.
It was only when I paid the extortion money demanded, that I could obtain the address and have someone pick it up (in poor condition).
It takes a special kind of ar****le to steal a disabled veteran's family vehicle. As if it is not hard enough for Canadians to get a vehicle for a family of seven, to have it stolen and money extorted to get it back is unforgivable. To use the current limitations on travel from corona virus to hold clients hostage. This company, hid our vehicle across Canada, lied to the police, stored it in junkyards, hid it at their parents house, made the new vehicle filthy and charged daily fees while they moved it around the country, refusing to provide a location. I will be posting my research, findings and court decisions as soon as they are available. In the meanwhile, stay away from these "carriers". The only thing they carry is pain and despair.
I am retired, and I will spend the rest of my retirement seeking restitution, and ensuring that all Canadians are aware of your substandard service and your illegal actions.
Screw you shipmyride!
