BMW M5 G99 Touring — EURO Trailer Hitch Retrofit

The vehicle had a EURO trailer hitch installed by a garage and required the proper coding and configuration to make everything work together as it should — including transmission, power delivery, differentials, stability systems and trailer-related functions.

Another company had previously attempted the coding with no success. The owner then contacted us to take care of the issue.

This was not a straightforward coding job. Since the vehicle is a US-spec M5, we had to configure and code several modules to support the EURO trailer setup, while keeping the rest of the vehicle’s US configuration intact.

After going through the vehicle module by module and carrying out the required coding and configuration, everything is now working properly and behaving as OEM.

Another successful retrofit.
