Anthony Cohen

Anthony Cohen Anthony grew up in Richmond, BC and vacationed often at the cabin his grandfather built at Twin Lakes, near Kaleden.

With a natural ability to work successfully with others and exceptional customer service skills, Anthony Cohen takes great care in listening to his clients’ needs and ensuring he understands what they want in a home. Spending every summer there with his grandparents gave Anthony a special affinity for the Okanagan that was further bolstered when his family moved to Penticton so Anthony could pursu

e hockey and baseball during high school. Anthony was drafted by the Atlanta Braves MLB team and leveraged that into scholarships to play college baseball where he studied Sports Science. While Anthony was living in the lower mainland and traveling around the world, he always looked forward to returning to the Sunny Okanagan. When there came a time when he was able to move back from the coast to the Okanagan, a place a felt that he belonged, it was a no brainer. This time with his beautiful wife Viola, they moved to Shannon Lake in West Kelowna. Viola works at UBCO as their Communications and Marketing Strategist. Together they enjoy hiking, biking, paddleboading and golfing. Anthony has a genuine love of meeting new people and developing relationships; his clients are always his priority and he looks forward to meeting their needs and helping them find a home to call their own in the Okanagan Valley.

Fintry Estate and it's famous Octagonal Dairy Barn. This unique dairy barn, with its centrally placed silo and inward-facing milking stanchions, is the last known polygonal (multi-sided) barn in B.C. Its special shape has become the trademark of the Fintry Estate. Built in 1924, the barn housed Captain James Cameron Dun-Waters’ famous Ayrshire dairy herd. The Captain insisted on “only the best” and his championship animals had to have the finest accommodation. This barn, designed by an architect, is the result. Rough-sawn lumber used in it’s construction was probably cut in Dun-Waters’ own sawmill. The barn’s integral waste-handling system enabled both liquid and solid manure to be used as fertilizer on orchards and gardens.
