92 syncro with 184.000 kms on the body. A few years ago i put a motor and transmission from a 98 jetta tdi.
Lots of new parts on it.
Front windshield, dual piston calipers and carriers, all 4 shocks( rear are monroe syncro fitment specific), rebuilt steering rack, b4 radiator and a/c condenser.
Lifted with vr6 auto wagon springs on all 4 corners.
Original syncro 15" rims.
U.s. market vr6 instrument cluster converted to tdi WITH M.F.A.
I built this car to go to alaska in the middle of winter.
I had it running and driving in fwd configuration 3 years ago, then the fuel pump started leaking ( i did the seals on the head) and while working on that i burnt a wire on the engine bay.
The process was to do the diesel swap and drive in fed configuration for 1 year to work out the possible issues, then introduce the syncro to the equation. Well since the fuel pump leak and then electeical mishap, it has not run so i never put the propeller shafts back in or have a custom syncro 1z downpipe fabricated
